Promoting child nutrition in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region
28-29 September 2015, Windhoek (Namibia)

	A regional parliamentary seminar will be hosted by the Parliament of Namibia and organized jointly by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and UNICEF. The seminar will be held on 28 and 29 September 2015 in Windhoek. It is aimed at enhancing the understanding of parliamentarians and parliamentary staff on issues related to malnutrition and stunting, including the damaging effects on countries’ economic development of the lack of measures to fight malnutrition. Emphasis will therefore be placed on the strategies and tools parliamentarians can leverage to scale up and strengthen nutrition programmes and policies. The proceedings will be conducted in English and French.
