Togo's National Assembly

Women and men parliamentarians from Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, Mali, Niger, Senegal and Togo will come together to debate, share their experience and strategize to identify common solutions and initiatives. The seminar aims to provide information on the principles of gender equality contained in international and regional women’s rights instruments, with a special focus on the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW). The participants will review its implementation in the West African francophone subregion, share their experiences and identify key parliamentary actions for its implementation in their countries.
