Multi-Country Seminar on Parliaments and
Accountability for Women’s and Children’s Health
multi-country seminar co-organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Union,
the Bangladesh Parliament and the World Health Organization (WHO)

The IPU, the Bangladesh Parliament and the World Health Organisation are organizing a multi country seminar to promote accountability for women’s and children’s health. The seminar will include parliamentarians from countries where maternal and child deaths remain high and where country road maps for strengthening accountability which have been developed under WHO-led processes highlight the role of parliaments. The purpose of the seminar will be to provide parliaments with a platform to discuss processes and mechanisms to promote accountability for women’s and children’s health and to identify the contribution of parliaments to these processes and mechanisms.
