The Group deals with prevention and care, social issues, human rights, non-discrimination, pharmaceuticals and trade-related matters. |
| Membership |
The Group is composed of eight members. Six of them are from the House of Representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina (State level), one is from the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska (local entity level) and one from the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (local entity level). They are proposed and nominated by their assemblies for a four-year term. |

The Group's work is organized as follows:
- Sessions of the Group
- Visits to Info Centers
- On-site inquiries
- Public hearings, etc.
Decisions have been taken thus far by consensus. Reports are available to legislative bodies (State and local entity levels) as well as to the public. MPs and the Secretary of the Group monitor implementation of these decisions.

The Parliamentary Group on Population and Development cooperates closely with the Committee for Gender Equality. |
| Relations with external bodies |
In conducting its activities, the Group cooperates with executive bodies, parliamentary organs and non-governmental organizations. It also works closely with UNFPA and its application for membership in IEPFPD has been accepted. |
