The Committee has also reported to the plenary of the House on the ratification of the convention for the establishment of the World Trade Organization. |
Membership |
The Committee is composed of a Chairperson, a Vice-Chairperson and eight members, nominated by the Selection Committee, taking into consideration the number of the seats held by each political party in the House. The term of the Committee is the same as the term of the House, i.e. five years. |

The Chairperson of the Committee, in collaboration with the other members, selects the items on the agenda. Proceedings are public with certain exceptions if the committee so decides. Ministers, government official, semi-governmental agencies, trade unions and individuals are invited to take part in the meetings of the Committee. The decisions of the committees of the House are taken by majority vote and their reports are sent to the plenary of the House for its final decision. |
Relations with other parliamentary bodies |

The reports of the Committee are sent to all the members of the House for deliberation and vote. |
