Rule 38 of the National Assembly's Rules of Procedure stipulates that the Committee on General, Institutional and Human Rights Affairs (CAGIDH in the French acronym) has jurisdiction in the following areas: Constitution, regulations, parliamentary immunity, legislation, human rights, justice, internal affairs, information, requests by public prosecutors or individuals for authorization to file suit against members of the National Assembly, draft resolutions deposited by the deputies with a view to requesting the suspension of a suit against one of their colleagues or the suspension of detention, a procedure that is applicable to that set out in Rule 79 of the Rules of Procedure. |
