For the first time since the new Constititution was adopted
elections were held for 20 members of the Senate. |
On 10 October 2003
20 new Senators were sworn in. According to the constitution
in 2004
the President of the Republic of Rwanda will appoint 4 senators and the forum of the Political organisations will appoint 2 other senators.
